3PL Negotiations

Cumberland Partners has extensive 3PL experience that covers every aspect of the business; including, sales, marketing, contact development, pricing methodology, customer service, engineering, facility design/layout, operations, full P&L, budgeting, strategic planning, reverse logistics, pick-pack, contract packaging, kiting, sub-assembly, QA/QC, FDA compliance, HAZMAT, refrigerated/dry storage, transportation, cross docking, CES, FTZ, CFS, international, etc.

We have had direct responsibility for the structuring and negotiating of 3PL contracts from both sides. CP has directed management, leadership and mentoring responsibility for 3PL negotiations. This included extensive hands-on involvement, including establishing negotiating strategy, pricing development, contract structuring, establishing service/operational metrics, client negotiations, contract execution, and implementation.

This has ranged from direct management of an eleven state region to national leadership of a 3PL sales organization. 3PL consulting engagements have involved the complete development and/or major restructuring of sales management, pricing, negotiations, and contract structures. Often this included a comprehensive review of all existing customer agreements and establishing the justification for significant price adjustments. There has been direct operational and negotiating responsibility for several organizations utilizing 3PL's to support their distribution network requirements.
